The Comrades Club is a members social club based in Wallingford, Oxfordshire. The bar boasts fantastic real ales that are always on tap, plus wines spirits and soft drinks and all at great prices, the best in Wallingford. The bar is a great place to meet friends and get to know others. The club is keen to keep friendly banter around the bar with all its members.
The club also has four full-size snooker tables, reckoned to be the best in Oxfordshire and has a number of teams entered into the local leagues.
There is a golf society, which plans monthly outings to courses around the area with a meal back at the clubhouse afterwards, it also has a 3 day tour every year in June.
Its also hosts events each month, such as quiz nights and live music performances, The Comrades Club is a wonderful place to meet new people, socialise over a drink or get stuck into the activities you love with like-minded people in and around the Wallingford area. Read more…
The Club is open:
Lunchtimes from 11:00 am to 2:30 pm Tuesday to Friday. Closed Monday
Evenings 06:00 pm to 11:00 pm Monday to Friday
All day Saturday 11:00 am to 11:00 pm
All day Sunday Midday to 11:00pm
Membership is open anybody and application forms are available in the bar. The bar is open for non-members (a £1 charitable donation is expected), so you can come in and try it for yourself before committing to a membership. A variety of memberships are available.
Key Policies
- Only Assistance / Guide dogs are allowed inside the
club. Well behaved dogs are welcome in our outside seating area.
- Children under the age of 14 years old are not allowed
in the bar area after 7pm. Children are welcome in the TV area.
- During bar opening times, only food and drink purchased
at the bar can be consumed on the premises.
- Food cannot be consumed in the Snooker room at any
time.
